AONB: Isles of Scilly
Scilly Seabird Conservation Strategy
Over 8000 pairs of 13 different species of seabird regularly breed in Scilly. The Isles of Scilly are internationally important for breeding Storm petrel & Lesser black-backed gull, nationally important for breeding Shag and Greater black-backed gull and regionally important for Fulmar, Manx shearwater, Razorbill & Puffin. To help conservation efforts the AONB partnership supported the production of a 5 year conservation strategy for seabirds with partnership members writing and facilitating production of the plan.
