The AONB network is pleased to be supported by South West Water.
South West Water provides drinking water and waste water services throughout Cornwall and Devon and in small areas of Dorset and Somerset. South West Water was created in 1989 with the privatisation of the water industry.
The AONB network is pleased to be working with two of the Nearly Wild® companies, Nearly Wild® Exploration and Nearly Wild® Camping. Both of these unique organisations, established by Steve and Irene Evison, have a common purpose to help people find opportunities to engage with the natural world.
Nearly Wild Camping is a member owned co-operative which aims to establish a network of wilder camping locations across Britain and overseas. Nearly Wild Camping enables people of all backgrounds to leave the boundaries of traditional campsites behind and to discover their own bit of wild, whilst learning from local hosts about their countryside and landscape. This gives that extra support and reassurance for those who are not confident enough to just go and wild camp, or who want more from camping than just a place to sleep. Currently, there are over 60 locations and over 650 members.
Nearly Wild Exploration is an ethical company, working to find market approaches to build nature back into people’s everyday lives, strengthening the connections between people and the natural world.
